This delightful hideaway is located in the back of Michler’s Florest and Greenhouse. Parking in their lot is limited but there is plenty of street parking. We didn’t see any signs for the Cafe so we wandered around and shopped for flowers and plants until we found it. The most efficient way to get there is to just walk to the back of the property. The food on the constantly changing menu is the very definition of lite and refreshing. Portions are a little small for the price but the taste is great! The plating is nice as well. Due to the large trees with overlapping canopies, the temperature was several degrees lower than the parking lot. The atmosphere was laid back and there was a dull murmur as the other patrons spoke to their parties. There was a rather large play area for kids that was made with several inches of sand. There were plenty of plastic and metal backhoes, dump trucks, and other construction vehicles for the kids to play with. I highly recommend this cafe for its atmosphere, buzz, and food.

Kentucky Native Café is a must visit when you’re in Lexington! Though I was not the biggest fan of my pretzel and beer cheese, I loved my drink and the entire place is just amazing. The staff, first of all, are so kind and friendly, and happy to help you find your way around! The café is attached to a greenhouse, so if you are a plant lover, build in some time to check out the plants, too! The real highlight, of course, is the stunning outdoor patio. It is super big and covered with tall, beautiful trees. There are many places to sit, and it is a nice study spot or hang out spot! I underestimated the bug bites I’d get if I didn’t have bug spray, so definitely be aware of that, but that is just what happens when you are outside around greenery in the summer! The place is beautiful and feels like a hidden fairy garden in the middle of a city. It is magical. I highly recommend spending an afternoon here!!

What a wonderful place! We were a little unsure of where to park at first, but then figured out that we could park in the lot off of E High Street. It looks like they have a really nice outdoor area (probably more so used in the summer time), and inside the greenhouse is so neat with plants all over! It’s a lovely atmosphere, and on the day we went, there was a very talented group of musicians playing Irish music the whole evening! We tried the apricot and almond danish which was really good, and my wife enjoyed some of the drinks as well. Reasonably priced food and drink items. Would definitely come here again!

Heads up, no meat on the menu and they are small plates. That being said, the Roasted Cauliflower Soup was beautiful. The atmosphere was so unexpected. Smack in the middle of the city is this beautiful and quiet green space. As the sun went down, stings of light lite up in the trees and they set little low light lanterns on the tables.

This place is absolutely divine. We came in through the greenhouse and we're stunned at the size of the place! What incredible ambiance, we are totally smitten. All of the food options were delicious, the pastries perfectly baked, and we loved the rhubarb soda. The burrata share plate was another big hit, along with the peanut noodles.

There’s so much I can say about how amazing this place is. All the plants are so comforting and the little kids running around just gives a sense of home. This is my go to place whenever I am hanging out with people. I love that even though this is an open air space, there is still a privacy factor due to all the trees. Sitting outside surrounded by trees made me feel connected to nature. Everyone who works here is very friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious and the wait time is not even felt ( it is about 5 minutes). This time I just got a pretzel, a chocolate croissant, a blackberry and nutella gelato, and a cherry swirl gelato. That cost me about 17 dollars. The cafe is definitely hard to find but as long as you locate Michler’s Florist you can find it. Overall I love this place, the atmosphere is so peaceful and I am not about to stop visiting it.

I was looking for a dog friendly restaurant to go eat with my fur baby 🐶 . I had to do some online search I came across Kentucky native Café a lot of reviews mentioned it’s a dog friendly place and how the atmosphere at the cafe is so nice and honestly it did not disappoint. If you wanna eat healthy food thats good for your soul , have your fur baby with you with plants and nature around you . I had the lentil soup and hummus I felt so good eating them 🕉️💜 thank you ! I wish I took some food for my baby with me so he can enjoy the experience with me🥹🫶🏼✨🐶 that’s the only reason I had to leave quickly.

If I could only pick one place that I could go to every day in Lexington it would be KY Native. I mean, I love plants and delicious foods but this is more than that. Michler's has been at the heart of Lexington for over 100 years, so the roots are strong but they have grown a sanctuary here with beautiful plants flowing through carefully curated greenhouses. If you visit in the colder months the dining space in the greenhouse is warm, bright and beautiful. If you visit in the warmer months you are treated to outdoor, garden dining which is unmatched in its ascetic and charm. If youre lucky, you will visit when they have live music or an event! The Christmas Market is something my family visits each year. My last visit was with my 93 year old grandma. She didnt know what to expect and I was sort of nervous with her walker. She's new to Lexington and was very upset about having to move from Louisville. One warm Saturday, we went to the Farmer's Market downtown and then KY Native and she was the happiest she had been in months. Truly a special place!

I’m so glad I discovered this gem! The cafe is tucked away in a greenhouse, where you eat surrounded by a wide variety of gorgeous plants and flowers. The food was incredible each time I visited. All of the breads and pastries were fresh and homemade. The daily selections varied and were consistently interesting. I loved the roasted sweet potato on focaccia sandwich, and the broccolini was incredible!
